Jason Taylor
Lighting Designer

Jason was resident lighting designer at Nottingham Playhouse between 1985 and 1990 and worked for 14 seasons at the Open Air Theatre, Regent’s Park.  Jason was nominated for a Tony Award in May 2007 for Best Lighting Design for the Broadway production of Journey’s End.

His West End credits include Journey’s End, Some Girl(s) and Absurd Person Singular and his Broadway credits include Journey’s End and Pygmalion.

Other recent theatre includes: 2007 Summer Season: Macbeth, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Lady Be Good; 2006 Summer Season: The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night’s Dream & The Boyfriend at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre; Victory and How The Other Half Loves for the Theatre Royal Bath; An Ideal Husband, She Stoops to Conquer, What Every Woman Knows, Hedda Gabler and Romeo and Juliet  for the Royal Exchange Theatre; Burn/Citizenship/Chatroom for the National; The God of Hell for the Donmar Warehouse; Shoreditch Madonna and Blue Eyes and Heels  for the Soho Theatre. 

Musicals include: In the Club, What the Butler Saw, Us and Them, The Dead Eye Boy, Buried Alive, Gone to LA, and Terracotta for the Hampstead Theatre; National Tours of Anything Goes, High Society, Pirates of Penzance.
